Web 2.0 is the second generation of the world wide web. What sets this apart from the original web is that it is user generated. The old Web was when a single or a few people create a website. The finished product would only be able to be edited by the creators/authors and it was only one way (not interactive with the user), and most of the websites would be educational. Web 2.0 is user generated. Yes, there is a creator, but the users get to interact and give feed back; it's a lot more social. On the top is an image that compares the two, and below is a picture that shows what the basic difference is.
